Shayne Luther Steele (born August 19th, 2004) is a STARS Lowe's Pro Truck Series driver from Eugene, Oregon.
Early Career
Shayne was born to former ARA Cup Series driver Rick Steele and Kristen Steele, being the younger sibling of Tanner Steele. From an early age, Shayne showed interest in racing, often being around the track in Rick's later years of racing. At the age of 8, Shayne got his start in racing with a go-kart, winning several meets and making a couple of appearances in national karting events. Shayne's racing endeavors took a brief pause in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Shayne started really getting noticed in 2021, winning the track championship at Evergreen Speedway in Washington, before going back-to-back in 2022.
This caught the eye of several team owners, including Frank McBrien, but when the relationship turned sour between McBrien and Shayne's elder brother Tanner Steele, Tanner dissuaded Shayne from driving for him. Shayne would stay in the regional racing scene for a few more years, also helping elder brother Tanner with recovery and rehab from his horrific accident in Las Vegas in 2025, until a big break came for him in 2026. Kenneth Parker Motorsports signed Shayne Steele to a development contract, and this proved to be the turning point for Shayne's career.
Personal Life
Shayne's father, Rick Steele, is a former multiple-time ARA Cup Series race winner, also making a couple of then-Kobalt Tools Truck Series starts in the mid to late 2000s.
Shayne is currently in a notable relationship with 2028 STARS Lowe's Premier Series Champion Aimee Cunningham.
Shayne is a very animated person on and off-track, as seen in most of his confrontations, Shayne is not afraid to get in someone's face if he feels as though he or someone he cares about has been wronged.
Shayne measures in at 5'11".
